Come to State.

Mississippi State University has a lot going for it, so much that I become a recruiter to my high school best friends. My best buds from high school are planning to go here because I convinced them with Cowbells, the bar and the ringer. The cost of living at this university is exceptionally cheaper than any other school in the SEC, while that may not be important to some, living in the south, that is pretty important. Mississippi State has been high ranking for many years on the "best bang for your buck" colleges. The tuition is inexpensive, but more importantly apartment living is super cheap compared to every other SEC school.
For high school students looking to go to an SEC school this one will save you and your parents money. If out-of-state tuition is a worry that may be something to consider, but State drops it with good ACT scores, certain majors, and even community college hours combined with a good GPA. While other SEC schools may seem more attractive, because there is more going on in the town, think again. The college experience surrounding Missississippi State is just as good or better than other unveristies. If you are a student considering Mississippi State, definitely research and do a campus visit, you might just find your new home.
My friends have discovered that State provides the real college experience at an SEC school, for a much attractive price than Auburn, Alabama, or others. Since they are coming out here, I don not have to bother make new friends, because mine are coming back. My life is about to become high school 2.0.
